Idaho Falls is the county seat of Bonneville County in eastern Idaho, situated along the Snake River, nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The city covers approximately 24.00 square miles of land with an additional 0.56 sq mi of water, at an elevation of around 4,712 ft (1,437 m).
