This Sprinter was designed with the off-road enthusiast in mind. We started with a 3500 AWD platform, then outfitted it with upgrades that take capability to the next level:
- Super single wheels for improved traction and easier tire management
- Van Compass suspension kit with rally struts for stability on rough backroads
- Raptor-lined hood for durability and protection
- Retractable running boards
- Exterior Rigid Industries lighting for nighttime trail visibility
On the rear, we installed our Invader modular system, which allows the owners to mount tire carriers, gear boxes, bike racks, recovery tools, and more. This build is all about adaptability—whether you’re heading into the desert, mountains, or deep forest.
Inside this custom Field Van build, versatility is the theme. The layout was designed to maximize comfort while maintaining an open, breathable feel—an essential for families or groups traveling together.
Multi-Mode Seating & Lounge Area
The van features:
- Swivel front seats
- A Lagoon table for meals, work, or card games
- Smart Seat swivel bases, allowing up to three additional forward-facing travel seats
- A “lounge mode” setup perfect for relaxing and socializing
This space can easily shift from travel mode → dining area → hangout zone → open floor space depending on the adventure.
Fully Outfitted Galley & Storage Solutions
The spacious galley on this rig includes:
- Overhead microwave
- Large Isotherm fridge/freezer combo
- Portable induction cooktop area
- Silverware tray and quiet-ride cabinetry
- Overhead storage throughout
This build also features a full Victron Energy control system, plus a Timberline heater/water heater—ideal for four-season van life.
Innovative Bathroom Design
One of the standout features of this build is the hidden shower system. Instead of a permanent enclosure, this layout uses a recessed stainless steel shower pan and a curtain track that expands into a full shower area, paired with a portable toilet and privacy curtain. This smart, space-saving design gives owners all the practical benefits of an indoor bathroom without sacrificing valuable living space.
Sleeping up to four people, the rear of the van features a removable Moab bed system paired with a comfortable Custom Rest mattress and hanging storage bags from Van Wife Components. The modular design allows you to remove the top or middle bed panels to transform the space into a dinette, create two bench seating areas, or open up additional room for bikes, skis, or other bulky gear—making the layout adaptable for any adventure.
